this song has alot of vocal blending. i've got this feeling of saying, "don't act smart and just listen to the video". i'll put it as a side note, but just to inspire you pips, listen to it and it's pretty good. not the best, but it's a good original.
and pls do your homework before coming for the next rehearsal, i'll not point fingers coz i've probably reminded alot of people about it and i don't want to waste time sticking on to basic arrangements which doesn't improve ourselves. it's good to be creative, and there are no buts, just me saying if it's good for the song or not. so please, work on it. i'll see you all after exams.

verdict of yesterday's rehearsal...

to be very honest with you pips, yesterday's rehearsal was quite bad. the jabs and arrangements are pretty new may be the cause, so lets work more on it.

ernest: you kept missing out the jabs, especially on the 1st prechorus going into the chorus. remember, it's stop on the 3rd, not the whole bar, you need to count. when changing from an 8 beat to the 4, you need to be more confident. anything that is not verse, it's heavy, so dun refrain your rhythm by opening your hihat. the fillin into the chorus need to be busier and you can cut it down to 1/2 a bar rather thn doing it for the full bar.

kinet and jay: practice on the plucking and do remember the arrangements. don't die down after the qiang fast screaming part, there is always an Am for 1 bar thn the stop for both going into the verse 3 and the stop for the chorus where zhi wei will only be the vocals for the 1st bar.

jay: your timing need to get it right, especially the one i told you to do, it's syncopated and not on the beat. post chorus part is still very off beat, need to stay in time.

zhi wei: know how you come in for the bridge and you need to be more stable in your vocals. don't do husky vocals coz qiang will be screaming and it doesn't fit.

cheryl: you're missing out the accompaniment for the chorus.


keep one thing in mind, please do not play your instruments whn i'm talking coz i always have the case where kinet not hearing me and i have to repeat it or i have to raise my voice. and focus on the song, don't go play other things whn the band is sitting there waiting to start.


anything you wanna bring out, tag board it. and try not to make this blog a personal blog so that it's pretty clean and the more important msgs can go across.

Bring your equipments. i've got new lyrics so i'm sending it to you pips later if i see you online. i can't print it out this time so if you can, that's good. i'll be touching on ashtray too. one of the toughest songs i've every arranged and one of the most vulgar ever. ha. see you pips on monday.

ps. if i get my pay on monday, i treat you all 40 pc mcnugget.

ok... some updates.

eastern promises is finally completed. i added more things. will be sent to you pips soon after some vocal delegation. arrangement will still be worked on, so the next rehearsal, ALL MUST COME! i'm getting my pay soon, i can treat you pips 20 mcnuggets. maybe 7 of us i buy 40? or 60? you pips will eat nuggets until you dun wanna eat for 1 month. ha. peace~ practice hard.

1st week of febuary madness...

hello pips. here's the deal...

on monday 4th Febuary, if the drummer, bassist, lead guitarist and screamer is present, we can hold a rehearsal...
on monday 4th Febuary, if the above fails, i'll be holding a bass lesson...
on tuesday 5th Febuary, if the drummer, bassist, lead guitarist and screamer is present, we can hold a rehearsal...
on tuesday 5th Febuary, if the above fails, i'll be going home after my project presentation or go somewhere to fool around...
on wednesday, it's new year's eve, so no go...
on thursday, it's new year's day, so no go...
on friday, i'll be at home slacking while you all go out and bai nian, so no go...
on saturday, screamer is working and i've got to slack at home, so no go...
so sunday, screamer is working and i've got to go to church and do my churchy duties and than go home and rest, so no go...

and that's the end of the week, pick...
monday or tuesday or don't want this week, and tag it on the tag board...

Bass lesson on 4th Feb...

Condition - I'm sorry, rehearsal takes priority, so if no rehearsal, the below will be valid.
Time - 6pm to 8pm
Place - Clubhouse (tentative)(Jay, can book 03-18?)
Setup - Bass amp, CH bass, my bass, snare, bassdrums without toms, HH, the ziljian crash, drum throne and speakers.
Structure - I'll be covering music playing, so do your execises faithfully, if not you won't be able to catch up.
Attendance - Pls tag your attendance or msn or call me or somehow tell me.
New Attendance - If you're a guy, welcome. If you're a girl, I need you to go through the visual test, if you fail, you have to go through the nudity test, if you fail, i need you to go the touch test, if you fail, i need you to go to the sex test, then welcome.

i just eat bak gua, somehow, i feel that i'm getting married soon.
